I believe everybody is in your life for a reason, a season, or lifetime. In today’s episode, I share the relationships in the communities I’ve had that are my reason, season, and lifetime. I believe community and who you surround yourself with, is one of the greatest determining factors of who you will become.
I share my personal story on letting go of relationships in my early 20's that no longer served me, how adding in a new community that inspired me and made me better enhanced my other relationship, and my true vision for the type of community I am building in my own life.

In this episode, I chat about the important topic of sleep and sleep routines for your littles ones with sleep expert, Serena Giradi. I have consulted with Serena and she has helped us start to lay a better sleep foundation for our daughter so my husband and I can sleep, and therefor reach OUR goals!
We know sleep is an important need for not only us as women, but our children as well. When mom is well rested, baby is well rested, we all just do better. It becomes much easier to reach your own goals, dreams, and ambitions when you are awake and energetic enough to think about them!
New moms can face a lot of fear like "you'll never sleep again!", and Serena instills confidence, makes it simple, and is encouraging with this helping moms rock the sleep routine!

In this episode I walk you through 7 habits that you can implement today to reach your goals tomorrow. These 7 habits are covered in chapter 15 of "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson. As I re-read this chapter I realized I have mastered quite a few of these habits and also have to work on a few of them myself. I truly had so many take aways from this and think you will too!
The 7 habits we cover are:
1. Show up
2. Be consistent
3. Have a positive outlook
4. Be committed to the long haul
5. Cultivate a burning desire back by faith
6. Be willing to pay the price
7. Practice the slight edge integrity
I hope you get a lot of value from today's episode!

Hey friend, welcome back. This week, I am sharing with you why this all actually matters. Your healthy habits, your dreams your routines, all of it. Why do you actually do that? I am recording this podcast not even a week after the passing of my Grandmother. It is hard to lose someone you love. It's hard to know you will never see them again, hug them again, or call them again. But I am reminded in this moment WHY I choose to show up.
My Grandmother was one of the best people I knew. She lived a long life that had many ups and downs. Especially in the four years here she was dealt many cards that would derail most people. Instead, my grandma was someone who continually showed up to be better because she know that yes, life can be hard- but you have to show up as your best version to still LIVE.
This week, I hope your take away is why this all really matters. Life is short. You deserve to live it.

59: Find Your Slight Edge

Thursday Jan 20, 2022

Thursday Jan 20, 2022

Have you heard of "The Slight Edge?" Maybe you haven't heard of it, but I can guarantee that the slight edge is in fact working for or against you in your life right now. You are either making small, insignificant choices each day that move your towards the target you want in your life or you are moving away from it. The cool part? When you realize how this can work in your favor and you KNOW that the actions you are taking will pay off, that's when everything changes in your life.
In today's episode, I walk you through the ways I have used the slight edge in my own life to accomplish goals that once felt very far off. I share how I am teaching this to my team I mentor, how you can use it in your life, and why everyone can be 1% better each day.
After you listen to this episode, be sure to go grab your own copy of the book, "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson. If you want help in using the slight edge in your own life then apply to be a coach on my team! I am accepting 10 new coaches this month who are self-starter, coachable, and want to use coaching as a vessel to better their life. Apply at www.caitbrown.com/coaching

Welcome back to The Cait Take and welcome to 2022! A brand, new year is upon us and it is filled with possibilities for so many good things. In this episode, I walk you through my own experience finding a side hustle and why I knew it aligned with my values. I share why I believe, with an ever changing world, it is more important than ever to have something that can bring in income, more creativity, and help you be healthier too.
The world is fast paced and ever changing. There is power in starting something that is yours and yours alone. When looking for a side hustle I believe you should ask yourself three questions.
1. Does it bring in income?
2. Does it keep me healthy?
3. Does it help me be creative?
I share my experience in how I started a side hustle, changed my mindset to calling it a side business, and how it became my Plan B!
You are going to want to tune into this one!
